Anyone who's seen us play in the past 5 years has heard these songs before (and many times over). I think this was even recorded before Sam and Joe were in the band and this was the first thing Sam recorded for us at his studio. It's a great memory, playing with his setup and hearing the songs through his ears was really exciting. He'd be playing bass with us by the next spring. And our frequent collab and good friend Julien Foster came through and played Theremin and slide guitar with typical chaotic wizard energy. Then our prodigal bandmate Ben (because he always makes his way back somehow) mastered the tracks when we were working on "Whoknowseph?". Then we put the recordings on the shelf for a while... then Christian made the cover art in 2018 when we were making the cover for Meet Is Murder. Then we let it sit again, and now here we are in 2020. Here it is!
